Musical Theatre
**NEW** Song & Dance Musical Theatre Classes at The Dance Factory!
Musical Theatre is the combination of Singing, Dancing and Acting. It's about telling a story through lyrics and dance.
Musical Theatre ranges from West End Show and Broadway to Film Soundtracks.
These sessions are designed for all students who may or may not have prior experience on a musical theatre stage.
School Examination Session
Saturday 13th June
The timetable is now available for the exmaination session on Saturday 13th June 2009. All students MUST wear their hair in a bun and come prepared with the correct footwear for each exam.
You are kindly reminded that all jewellery, tattoos, hairbraids and nail polish are STRICTLY forbidden. Any candidate can be disqualified from entry by the examiner if they are not appropriately dressed.
I would advise that you arrive 30 minutes BEFORE your allotted exam time in order to make sure you are ready on time. In my experience, it is a rare occassion that exam sessions run late - they almost always run early!

Special Talent
Budding Ballerina
A special mention to supersat Jasmine Boult who entered the Bournemouth Dance Festival in May! This was the first time she had ever entered a dance competition and we are all very proud of her (she even managed a smile!) and thought you looked beautiful in your pink tutu - just like a real ballerina! Congratulations Jasmine!
Competitions
Exciting Opportunity!
We are set to host a ballet competition at our new home, The Dance Factory later this year. Contestants will be invited to perform a set routine, in full costume and make up, in front of an audience and a judge.
There will be cash prizes for each contestant being awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. Contestants will be divided into groups by age. Anyone interested should speak to their teacher for further information.

Be Diverse!
Auditions will be taking place in July to be part of the new street / hip hop dance crew with fantastic opportunties to perform and compete. We are looking for talented dancers age 12 -18 to be part of the crew. Watch this space for more details!
